Using Smart Analysis

Smart Analysis is an easy tool that helps you find the greatest difference or most intuitive insight of your dataset.

Check out Combine and Compare first if you are not familiar with how it works.

Now that we know how to compare segments, Smart Analysis allows us to quickly view the largest outliers in the data of compared cuts. This can be useful if we don’t know where to start or are overwhelmed with the number of questions we have to analyze - it gives us a quick view into what we should be thinking about.

How to use Smart Analysis

The best way to use Smart Analysis is to select a 2 or more cuts you want to compare, and then select the “Smart Analysis” in the upper right. This will show you the largest outliers between those specific cuts.

The results will generate automatically, but if you want to change the percentage difference type from relative (default) to absolute, change the number of standard deviations the outlier is from the average, OR add a response percentage minimum so that your results are statically significant, you can do that at the top, then select “Generate”.

Now let’s take a closer look to see what it tells us.

The 2nd insight came from the question “When did you join Aruis?” and we can see here it has found that podcast listeners are much more likely to have joined Auris within the last 6 months compared to music listeners.

You can also use Smart Analysis to look at all outliers from all of your segments and surveys. Simply select the “Analyze All” button and wait for your results to load.

NOTE: By clicking the arrows next to “Rank”, “QN (Question Number)”, “Question”, and “% Differences”, we can alter the sequence of the insights.
